The MSA is bounded by Ashtabula County (Ohio) and Crawford County (Pennsylvania) to the north, Geauga, Portage, and Stark counties to the west, Columbiana County (Ohio), Lawrence and Butler Counties (Pennsylvania) to the south, and the Pennsylvania counties of Lawrence and Venango to the east. The MSA is approximately 60 miles southeast of Cleveland and 70 miles northwest of Pittsburgh and is near the mid-point of Chicago and New York (approximately 400 miles to either city).
