The Erie MSA is solely comprised of Erie County, in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania on the south shore of Lake Erie, about 120 miles north of Pittsburgh. The county is less than 100 miles from both Buffalo, New York and Cleveland, Ohio and lies midway between them. Within 500 miles of Erie, there is a population base of more than 130 million people, including New York City and Chicago.
